THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF BIBLICAL COUNSELORS

“Founded in July 2013, THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF BIBLICAL COUNSELORS (non-profit based out of Fairview Heights, IL) is an accountability, advocacy, certification, and training association committed to the sufficiency of Scripture as a counseling model” (http://aabiblicalcounselors.org). This responsive member based website seeks to serve individuals involved in biblical counseling and were in need of an updated website.David Tyler (President of The American Academy of Biblical Counselors) contacted freelance graphic designer and web developer justinwillet.com (based out of Westminster, MD) about redesigning their current website. After a couple of meetings to identify the key goals for the non-profit, I started the design process for the new website. This site needed to serve both potential and existing members while providing a secure resource area for those who are already registered.

A unique component to this website is the user locator they refer to as “the counselor connection.” This interactive map features all registered members searchable by location. You can view a screenshot below or try it out for yourself here.
